Since 1986, BGCLC has been at the forefront of youth development, working with young people from disadvantaged economic, social, and family circumstances in Loveland and Fort Collins, and since 1994 in Wellington. The programs in Loveland (Youth Empire) and Fort Collins (Alternative Youth Center) began as separate teen-serving organizations in each community. In 1988, the Fort Collins program affiliated with Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and opened an additional Club in Wellington in 1994. In 1996, the three programs merged to become the Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County. If you were a Club member, Board member, staff, or volunteer in the early years, we'd love to hear from you and know what you're doing now! Please give us a call, or use the email form on the Contacts page. Learn about our 5 Core Program Areas. Learn about where we're going in our future! Back to "About Us". |
